Who organises the expo?

The Brazil Bangladesh Chamber of Commerce & Industry (BBCCI), a joint chamber based in Dhaka and licensed by the Ministry of Commerce, Government of Bangladesh. The Ambassador of Brazil to Bangladesh is BBCCI's Chief Patron.

Has the expo been held before?

Yes. The first edition took place on 15–18 June 2025 at the Novotel São Paulo Center Norte: set-up on 15 June, exhibition and programme on 16–18 June. The 2025 edition page has the details.

Which sectors take part?

Garments and textiles lead. BBCCI's 2026 invitation also names pharmaceuticals, jute, leather, agro-processing, engineering, ICT, renewable energy, ceramics and home décor, among others. Each sector page gives trade data and Brazil's import rules.

In which time zone are programme times shown?

In São Paulo time (Brasília time, UTC−3), with no daylight saving. Dhaka is 9 hours ahead all year: 10:00 in São Paulo is 19:00 in Dhaka.

How will I hear when applications and registration open?

Register your interest, or start an exhibitor application or buyer pre-registration. The dates and venue are set (22–25 March 2027, Pro Magno Centro de Eventos, São Paulo); you will receive the fees, packages and registration terms by e-mail as soon as BBCCI confirms them.

How do I contact the organisers?

Use the contact form and choose a topic so your message reaches the right person. The contact page also gives the address, phone and e-mail of the BBCCI office in Dhaka.

Exhibitors

Who can exhibit?

BBCCI's 2026 invitation is addressed to exporters, manufacturers, investors, entrepreneurs, business associations, trade organisations and industry leaders from Bangladesh and abroad. BBCCI reviews every application.

How much does a stall cost?

BBCCI has not yet announced the 2026 fees. In 2025 an exhibitor stall cost US$4,000 per company for one 8 × 8 ft stall, with two company representatives, venue rental, stall preparation and branding included.

Are flights, hotel and shipping included?

They were not part of the 2025 fee, which covered the stall, venue rental, stall preparation, branding and two company representatives in the delegation. BBCCI's 2025 plan listed visas, air tickets, hotel booking and advance shipment of products as tasks for participants.

How many people can represent my company?

In 2025 each stall registration covered two representatives of the company, and only two representatives per stall could attend. BBCCI will confirm the 2026 rule with the packages.

Was there an early-bird discount?

In 2025 registrations completed by the early-bird date received a 10% discount; the date was first set for 31 January 2025 and then extended to 15 February 2025. Whether 2026 has an early-bird offer will be announced with the fees.

How do I apply?

Apply online on this site: create an account, enter your company details, choose a stall and upload your documents. BBCCI reviews the application and then issues a proforma invoice and the participation terms.

Which documents will I need?

BBCCI will confirm the 2026 list. In 2025 BBCCI asked for the trade licence, TIN certificate, VAT registration and the owner's profile.

How do I pay?

Pay the invoice in the exhibitor portal by bank transfer or through BBCCI's online payment gateway. Bank details are shown only inside the portal and on your invoice. If you pay by transfer, upload the deposit slip.

What does the exhibitor portal do?

After you apply, the portal holds your company profile and products, your team's badges, your documents and invoices, visa requests and the deadlines that apply to you. Your profile also feeds your page in the public exhibitor directory.

Can I bring product samples to Brazil?

Yes, with conditions. Brazil does not accept ATA Carnets. Exhibition goods normally enter under temporary admission, with taxes suspended, through a Brazilian consignee with a CNPJ, and must be re-exported or otherwise settled afterwards. Samples in your luggage must be declared on arrival if they exceed traveller allowances, are under sanitary or agricultural control, or are meant for another company.

Can I sell my samples or leave them with a buyer?

Not under temporary admission. Goods to be sold or left in Brazil need a regular import by a Brazilian importer authorised in Siscomex, with all duties, taxes and licences. Items used up at the fair, such as brochures or giveaways, follow separate rules; confirm them with the customs broker.

Can pharmaceutical or food companies display products?

Medicines not registered with ANVISA may not enter Brazil even for exhibition. Food, cosmetics and medical devices need ANVISA's prior favourable decision before they can be shown, and food for distribution may not be imported if it expires within 30 days of sanitary release. Pharma exhibitors can show dossiers, certificates, product lists and plant videos instead.

Will BBCCI arrange B2B meetings for me?

B2B matchmaking is part of the programme BBCCI organises: in 2025 sessions were scheduled every afternoon from 16 to 18 June, and BBCCI plans more structured matchmaking for 2026. Meetings depend on buyers' interest, so invite your own contacts before the expo too, as BBCCI's exhibitor guide recommends.

Buyers

Is entry free for buyers?

In 2025, entry was free for trade visitors who pre-registered online. BBCCI will announce the 2026 visitor terms before registration opens.

How do I register as a buyer?

Fill in the registration form in Portuguese with your company's CNPJ; the company details are filled in automatically. When your registration is confirmed, you receive a QR e-badge by e-mail and WhatsApp.

My company has a new alphanumeric CNPJ. Can I register?

Yes. New CNPJs issued since 31 July 2026 can contain letters as well as digits, and the form accepts both formats.

What will I find at the expo?

Bangladeshi manufacturers and exporters in garments, home textiles, jute, leather and footwear, pharmaceuticals, food, plastics, handicrafts and IT services, depending on the final exhibitor list. The exhibitor directory on this site shows the confirmed companies.

What import duty applies to Bangladeshi goods?

Bangladesh has no tariff preference in Brazil, so full MFN rates apply: for example 35% on clothing, 18% on jute yarn and 9% on frozen shrimp, plus IPI, PIS/COFINS-Importação and ICMS. Each sector page lists rates from Brazil's tariff file of 5 October 2026; confirm your NCM code with a customs broker.

How long does shipping from Bangladesh take?

About 29 days by sea from Chattogram to Santos, port to port, on schedules read in October 2026; add inland transport and customs clearance. Air freight to São Paulo takes about 3–7 days.

Do I need RADAR to import?

A definitive import needs an importer authorised in Siscomex (RADAR), in the Expressa, Limitada or Ilimitada modality; Limitada allows up to US$50,000 or US$150,000 per rolling six months. Many buyers import through trading companies instead.

Will exhibitors receive my contact details?

Only with your consent. Under Brazil's LGPD, sharing your details with exhibitors so that they can contact you about business needs your separate, specific consent, which you can withdraw at any time.

Visitors

Is the expo open to the general public?

The expo is a business event for trade visitors such as importers, wholesalers, distributors and retailers. BBCCI will publish the 2026 visitor terms, including any public access, before registration opens.

What did the 2025 visitor pass include?

The free 2025 Full Pass gave access to sector talks, conferences, business rounds, networking, the meeting room and the whole exhibition.

Where is the venue and how do I get there?

At Pro Magno Centro de Eventos, Avenida Professora Ida Kolb, 513, Casa Verde, in São Paulo's north zone. The nearest station is Palmeiras-Barra Funda (Metrô Line 3-Red, CPTM and the Expresso Aeroporto from Guarulhos airport), 1.9 km away in a straight line; from there the venue recommends bus 9784-10 Jd. dos Francos to Av. Ordem e Progresso and a 400 m walk. By road it is about 28 km from Guarulhos airport (GRU) and 18 km from Congonhas (CGH). The venue page has the map and directions.

What are the opening hours?

Opening hours will be published with the 2026 programme, in São Paulo time.

Do I need to print my badge?

No. Your QR e-badge arrives by e-mail and WhatsApp; show it on your phone at the entrance or bring a printout.

Delegates

Which visa do Bangladeshi delegates need?

A Brazilian visit visa (VIVIS), which the Embassy of Brazil in Dhaka issues for tourism, transit and business. Holders of Bangladeshi diplomatic and official passports are exempt.

What documents does the embassy ask for?

For all visit visas: a passport valid for at least six months, national ID or birth certificate (translated and notarised), two photos, six months of personal bank statements with a balance certificate, the income-tax certificate, a recent utility bill, police clearance, a hotel booking, a return-ticket reservation, a letter of introduction and proof of employment. Business applicants add an invitation letter from Brazil, company records, import and export registration certificates, and TIN and BIN certificates. Checked against the embassy's list on 12 October 2026.

Can BBCCI provide the invitation letter?

The embassy needs an invitation letter from a Brazilian company or person, notarised in Brazil, so the letter itself is signed on the Brazilian side. Request it through the visa desk in your portal. BBCCI members can also ask for a chamber recommendation letter.

How long does the visa take, and what does it cost?

The embassy says processing may take up to 20 working days and that it may ask for more documents; incomplete files are not accepted. The fee listed on 12 October 2026 was BDT 11,200, paid by pay order and not refundable. Visa decisions are made by the embassy alone.

When should I start the visa process?

Early. For the June 2025 expo, BBCCI's plan set aside April — about two months before — for visa formalities. Files are submitted at the embassy by appointment only, and appointments are made by telephone.

Do I need a yellow-fever vaccination?

Yes, for your return. Bangladesh requires a yellow-fever vaccination certificate from travellers aged one year or older arriving from countries with transmission risk, and Brazil is one of them. Brazil itself does not ask for the certificate on entry.

How much foreign currency can I use for the trip?

Under Bangladesh Bank's circular of 30 September 2026, exporters, importers and producers on business travel may use up to US$400 a day, US$4,000 per trip and US$10,000 per calendar year, including through international cards. Check with your bank.

Can I join without a stall?

In 2025 Bangladeshi business people could join the delegation without a stall, as delegates, at US$1,000 per person with B2B matchmaking included. That fee applied only to Bangladeshi delegates, not to Brazilian visitors. The 2026 delegate terms will be announced with the fees.

I import from Brazil. Is the expo relevant to me?

Yes. BBCCI also addresses Bangladeshi importers sourcing from Brazil; its import guide names soybean oil, sugar, cotton and coffee. In 2025 Brazil's sales to Bangladesh were led by cane sugar, raw cotton, maize and soy.

Where is the Embassy of Brazil in Dhaka?

Bay's Edgewater (ground and 1st floor), NE(N) 12, North Avenue, Gulshan-2, Dhaka 1212. The consular section works Sunday to Thursday, 9:30–14:30. Checked on 12 October 2026; confirm before you visit.

How do journalists get accreditation?

Where can I find logos, photos and press releases?
