Ceramics are on BBCCI's list for the expo. Bangladesh exported US$28.7 million of ceramic products in FY2025-26, of which US$25.0 million was porcelain and china tableware and kitchenware; the rest was tiles, sanitary fixtures and ornaments.
Brazil imported US$61 million of ceramic tableware in 2025 — US$22.8 million of porcelain and US$38.3 million of other ceramic tableware — led by suppliers from India and Portugal. Bangladesh's sales were US$0.12 million, so this is a market to open.
Ceramic tableware pays 18% applied import duty plus IPI: 9.75% on porcelain dinner sets and 6.5% on other ceramic tableware. Tiles pay 12.6% and sanitary fixtures 16.2%. Brazil's anti-dumping duties on tableware apply to other origins, not to Bangladesh.
Food-contact ceramics may need to meet ANVISA limits on lead and cadmium; agree any testing with your buyer and customs broker.
