The Ambassador of Brazil to Bangladesh, Paulo Fernando Dias Feres, spoke at the event, which was held with the support of the Embassy of Brazil in Dhaka. The embassy's Deputy Head of Mission, Leonardo de Oliveira Jannuzzi, and its Agriculture Attaché, Silvio Luiz Rodrigues Testaseca, also attended.
Ambassador Feres described the exhibition as an important step for relations between Brazil and Bangladesh and a platform for businesses to show their quality and build partnerships. Vice President Md. Saiful Alam called the expo a major opportunity for Bangladeshi exporters, and Secretary General Md. Joynal Abdin spoke of it as a link between the cultures and the commerce of the two countries.
BBCCI's stated objectives for the expo are to show Bangladeshi products to Brazilian and Latin American markets, find new opportunities for Bangladeshi businesses, encourage trade in both directions and build partnerships between companies and investors of the two countries.
